From 26 August 2009 residents of St Ewolds Residential Home will be able to enjoy the brand new facility of an on site internet cafe.  The manager of the home, Ann McLean, said the residents have received the news with a great deal of enthusiasm and are looking forward to being trained up on basic email use.  Carers will be teaching residents on a one-to-one basis in their own time.

The idea came about after Ann received a growing number of email messages and photos from resident’s familes and friends living far afield and it will enable residents to keep in touch with loved ones more independently.

Of the three computers that will be available one was very kindly donated by the JEC, and the Parish extends its warmest gratitude for this wonderful and generous gesture.

Future plans include opening the facility to our two other homes, Maison de Ville and St Helier House.
