Are you a parent who wants to voice your views about early years and childcare in Jersey and make things happen?  If so, this new organisation which is launching soon in Jersey could be for you.

Parents for Children are in association with the Early Years and Childcare Partnership, which draws together people from all aspects of early years and childcare.  Currently, however, parent representation is desperately needed to make sure that there is a good balance of opinions, and the organisation founder, Brenda Confrey, is trying to get parents more actively involved in this project.

Brenda said "From my personal experience as a parent and working mum, I strongly feel that we parents should come together in order to ensure our children get the best out of our island.  In order to do this, I want to set up a parent organisation".

If you are interested in becoming involved in this exciting new organisation, although the first meeting was held on Wednesday 19 August 2009, Brenda is still looking for any parents who may be interested in getting involved with the project.
