In accordance with Article 27 of the Rates (Jersey) Law 2005, all outstanding balances on 2009 rate demands will incur a 10% surcharge on 30 October 2009.

To avoid paying this extra levy, please ensure your payments reach the Customer Services Department in good time.

Anyone who has not received a rate demand and believes they are liable to pay should contact the Town Hall without delay.  Kindly note that Article 25(4) of the same law states that it is not an excuse for non-payment of a demand if a ratepayer has not received a demand notice.
