Up to 56 teams and over 1000 Islanders are set to take part in the 2010 Condor Ferries' Dragon Boat Races being held on Saturday 18 September 2010 in aid of Jersey Hospice Care.
The event aims to raise more than £30,000 for the charity which provides specialist palliative nursing and holistic care, free of charge, for patients with cancer and motor neurone disease. Numerous businesses, organisations and groups from across the Island make up the teams which then race against each other in the day long event, kindly sponsored by Condor Ferries and supported by RBS International, which allows a group of employees to donate their time to plan, organise and run the event.
The day itself is a great fun day out for all the family and there are lots of events and activities planned to keep people entertained when not watching the races, as well as various food and drink stalls for people to choose from.
