Pianist Penelope Blackie began her career at the age of 10 as the soloist in Mozart's piano concerto K.488. A finalist in the 1973 Clara Haskil competition in Vevey, Switzerland, together with Mitsuko Uchida and Richard Goode, Penelope pursued a career in Europe and America. She has lived in Paris, New York and South America before moving to London.
Programme includes: Bach arr. Busoni: Chaconne from the 4th Suite for Unaccompanied Violin; Schubert: Four Impromptus, Op. 142 and Chopin: Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 58.
