Notice is hereby given in accordance with Article 2 of the Entertainments on Public Roads (Jersey) Law 1985 in connection with the Jersey Battle of Flowers and the Constables of St Helier and St Lawrence certain roads will be closed or restricted in their use as set out below:-
Work on the stands for the Battle of Flowers is starting - please see the times for lay-by closures below. Cyclists are asked to take care around the lay-bys.
Thursday 4th August 2011 - Lay-by Three closed from 6pm until Monday 15th August at 8pm
Friday 5th August 2011 - Lay-by Two closed from 6pm until Sunday 14th August at midnight
Sunday 7th August 2011 - Lay-by One closed from 6pm until Monday 15th August at 8pm
Tuesday 9th August 2011 - Lay-by Six closed from 6pm until Saturday 13th August at 9pm
Wednesday 10th August 2011 - Lay-bys Four and Five closed from 6pm until Saturday 13th August at 6am, and Lay-by Seven closed from 6pm until Saturday 13th August at 9pm
Saturday 6th August - due to the Ultra Race starting at the Steam Clock at 6am, the Honorary Police will close the Commercial Buildings stretch of road from the Steam Clock to La Collette for about 5 minutes at the start of the race. Could motorists keep an eye out for runners along the South coast roads to Gorey and towards St Catherine. St Martin Honorary Police will be at the junction by the St Catherine Life Boat from 7am until 8.30am.
Saturday 6th August - Fish Festival on the Victoria Pier from 9am to 11pm. There will be no parking near to the Pier - you are asked to use the provided transport (shuttle service) from the Pomme d'Or Hotel or Pier Road Car Park.
