The annual Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is being held on Sunday 2nd October this year, and therefore certain roads will be closed or restricted in their use between 8am and 5pm on that day. Additionally, the flow of traffic on these roads may be restricted in certain directions during this period of time, and there will be some delays whilst the main race starts at 9am and also when the relay race starts at 9.30am. This year the start and finish will take place at Weighbridge Square. Please read through the following information carefully to see if any of it applies to you. The roads are as follows:-

- La Route du Port Elizabeth over the underpass
- Conway Street
- Church Street
- Library Place
- Mulcaster Street
- Snow Hill
- Queen Street
- King Street
- Broad Street
- York Street
- Seale Street
- Castle Street
- La Rue des Mielles
- Anley Street
- Payn Street
- Sand Street
- Seaton Place
- Gloucester Street
- Patriotic Place
- Patriotic Street
- Esplanade
- St Aubin's Inner Road (will be closed from Mont Felard towards West Park and traffic will not be able to come into town from 9am through til 10.15am
- Tyneville Lane will be closed from 8.30am until 10am (access to premises will be from St Aubin's Inner Road)
Consent has also been given for a number of authorised vehicles accompanying the runners to travel along Queen Street and King Street between 9am and 11am for the purpose of escorting the runners along that part of the course.
No Parking in St Helier - There will be no parking from Saturday 1st October at 2pm until Sunday 2nd October at 6pm at Weighbridge Place, Mulcaster Street, Hill Street, Wharf Street and York Street from the junction of Broad Street to Seale Street.
Buses - Eastbound buses will terminate at Grenville Steret from 9am until 12.30pm. Westbound buses will operate as normal.
Taxis - There will be no taxis at Weighbridge Place from 8am until 6pm. The rank will be at the unloading bay at the front of the Pomme D'Or Hotel. Taxis will remain at Library Place and Snow Hill throughout the day, but there may be some disruptions between 9am and 12noon.
Honorary Police members will be policing the event and will be in position at all road closure points to direct motorists to alternative routes. We would appreciate the co-operation of motorists when approaching or overtaking the runners whilst on the public roads. Please be aware of the runners and give way to them. Please also be aware of the initial police car and time clock car as it comes along the promenade onto the pavement and along the cycle track to the finish, which is at Weighbridge Square.
