Maison De Ville
Maison de Ville is situated on La Pouquelaye, on the outskirts of town and has 50 single occupancy rooms, spread over three floors. It provides care for those residents who may have increased physical needs, and accommodates a small number of residents who use frames, as well as those with walking sticks.
Facilities
There is a large lounge and dining room on the ground floor, together with a hairdressing room. Each of our rooms has a call system to summon assistance for residents' safety. A large lounge and main dining room are situated on the ground floor, as well as a hairdressing room. The main dining room is where lunch is served and where special occasions, such as Christmas parties, are held. For those quieter evenings there is a cozy lounge on each of the residents' floors, along with toilet facilities and bathrooms.
Social Activities
An extensive social activities programme is organised weekly and ranges from island tours, coffee mornings, gardening, theatre trips, restaurant and pub outings, bingo and crafts. An ever-changing stock of library books and DVD's are available, Many books in larger print. Newspapers can be ordered by request, to be paid for by yourself.
If you currently attend any day centres or social clubs, arrangements can be made for this to continue. Similarly your own GP can make visits and family nursing & homecare provide support services to all Parish homes.
Staff
The Home Manager has overall responsibility for the home, its residents and staff. The staff team is made up of qualified health care professionals and ancillary staff. The residents' immediate needs will be met by carers, who are available 24-hours a day. Each room has a call system to summon assistance. Housekeeping staff will clean all residents' rooms and communal areas on a daily basis. Kitchen staff provide a varied and nutritious daily menu, and will endeavour to meet any special dietary needs.
