The Parish of St Helier entered a float in the 2010 Battle of Flowers Parade for the first time in some eight years and carried away two trophies as reward for all the team's hard work, the Best New Exhibitor and the Best Two Dimensional Semi Floral. Many congratulations to Debbie de Sousa and her team for all the hours of hard work that went into it.
In this new section we followed the team's progress from the start all the way to the Moonlight Parade on Friday night.
Below are some images showing just what went into building the floral spectacular that came to be 'The Funelier'. It's difficult to believe that the floats so enjoyed by the public during the parades actually start life as an uninspiring bare chassis!
There's loads more images for you to enjoy on our
facebook page.
