On 8 May 2019, the Parish Roads Committee agreed in principle to change Mount Bingham Car Park (located on the link road to the Territorial Army Centre on the southeast side), which is currently designated as ‘Parking places restricted to vehicles not exceeding 6 feet 6 inches in width and to a time limit of 12 hours’. The Committee is minded to change the designation to one of the following options:
- Option 1: 3 hour disc parking, 7 days a week
- Option 2: 2 hour pay card parking, 7 days a week
Why the change?
The Parish and States’ Parking Control department have received complaints from both residents and visitors about the lack of car parking and the regular abuse of Mount Bingham Car Park. There is a shortage of car parking for visitors to the area, which is exacerbated by the existing parking designation of 12 hours. In order to address this problem, the Roads Committee is minded to change the designation.
We welcome and appreciate your views either by email or in writing on which option you support or, if you do not support the proposal, please let us know the reason. The Committee would also welcome your views on an alternative suggestion for its consideration.
Please submit your comments to the Parish by no later than Tuesday 11 June 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org, or address your letter to Parish of St Helier Infrastructure, Town Hall, PO Box 50, St Helier, JE4 8PA.
