10,000 St Helier licences due to expire
There are around 30,000 Jersey driving licences due to expire between October 2018 and February 2019, with 10,000 due in St Helier alone.
You are advised to check your licence now, as you can renew up to 3 months in advance without losing any time from your current licence.
All applications received will be dealt with in the order they are received, so if you leave your renewal until last minute you may experience a significant delay.
We suggest you submit your application as follows:

You can renew your licence by completing the paper application available from the Town Hall or by using the online service 'Do it online'. Please note when using the online service that if you choose to provide any documents or photos offline, these documents must be received by the Parish within 21 days of the online application otherwise your application will be discarded.
You will need the following to make an application –
- One photograph (passport style) taken within the last six months
- Payment of £50 for a 10 year licence
- Your current licence
- If your name has changed since your last licence was issued (for example marriage, etc.) then you must submit the relevant documents (in this case a marriage certificate)
You can renew your licence up to three months in advance of the expiry date but not more than three months in advance.
Please note that if you leave your renewal to the last minute, it is quite possible that you will experience a significant delay in its return.
