Update on the Unveiling of St Helier's WW1 Memorial

Update on the Unveiling of St Helier's WW1 Memorial

Due to the forecast severe weather, the unveiling of the new Memorial scheduled for this Friday lunchtime has been postponed and will now take place at 1pm on Friday 23rd November 2018.

Although disappointing, the strong winds and heavy rain forecast for this Friday make it impractical to go ahead with the Unveiling as planned.

Descendants of St Helier parishioners who fell in the Great War will unveil St Helier’s new Memorial, with the ceremony taking place at 1pm in Parade Gardens, attended by the Bailiff, the Lieutenant-Governor, members of the States of Jersey, the St Helier Roads Committee and the Municipality, and members of the public and the media are invited to attend.
