Pre-Poll voting will open on the ground floor of Morier House, Halkett Place, St Helier from 8.15am on Monday 18th February 2019 for anyone who would like to vote early in the week leading up to the By-Election being held on Wednesday 27th February.
Residents of St Helier District 3 and 4 do not need a specific reason to pre-poll vote. If you live in the area and registered before 28th January 2019, then you can visit Morier House at any time during the working week to cast your vote. Please bring photographic identification with you, such as your driving licence or passport.
The Pre-Poll will be open:
- Monday 18th to Friday 22nd February, 8.15am - 5.15pm; and
- Monday 25th February, 8.15am - 2pm.
This particular St Helier District has two polling stations. Pre-poll allows everyone to vote in one place. No matter where you live in the District you can vote at Morier House up to 25th February if that suits you better – but you must have been registered to vote before 28th January.
Residents in the District should have now received the Candidates’ Manifestos document - spare copies are available from the States Greffe on request. It is not too late for people to register if they have yet to do so. If you are 16 or over and have lived in Jersey for either the last two years, or the last six months (plus any other periods which total 5 years) and you live in this district of St Helier, then you can register to vote in the By-Election. Registration is now very easy - you can access the online register via the My Parish Online website or through a link on vote.je.
Islanders can also turn out to vote on By-Election Day, Wednesday 27th February 2019, when polling stations will be open at Rouge Bouillon and First Tower Schools from 8am to 8pm. To find out where your polling station is, or for more information about the By-Election, please visit vote.je.
