Residential refuse / Bin collection

Residential waste is collected on a set day every week by a dedicated refuse team. To find out when your bin collection day is, please visit the Parish Recycling website.

Commercial refuse

All commercial premises are entitled to two collections per week. Should you require additional collections or weekend collections please email [email protected]. However, these will be at an extra cost.

If you are a new business and need to organise commercial refuse collection, please contact [email protected].

Recycling

Following a review of the Parish’s recycling operations the kerbside recycling scheme will return to a two-bag system (1 x clear bag and 1 x blue bag) with effect from 1 December 2023. Blue bags will be used to recycle light card, paper, magazines and envelopes and the clear bags will be used to recycle steel tins, aluminium cans and plastic bottles.

You may continue to use the old clear recycling bags but only for metal and plastic.

Please ensure only items displayed on the side of the recycling bag as recyclable are placed in each bag. Bags that have been obviously contaminated may not be collected. To guarantee cardboard is collected please flatten boxes and put them inside a blue recycling bag. Please ensure no food waste goes in either recycling bag.

Recycling is collected twice monthly. To find out when your next recycling collection date is, please visit the Parish Recycling website. To download our printable recycling calendar for 2024 please click here.

Please do not put your recycling bags out until your collection is due. To find out where you can collect recycling bags from please click here.

The Parish Recycling website also details what can be recycled and where you can recycle items that cannot be collected by the kerbside team.

Please ensure all refuse and recycling is put out by 5am on your collection days.
