Roads Inspectors

Roads Inspectors

Roads Inspectors are elected every three years and their duties include ensuring that any defects to the roads and public highways within the Parish, public facilities and encroachments are brought to the attention of the Parish so that remedial work may be undertaken. Such defects may include loose paving, overhanging bushes, and damaged road signs etc. There are seven Vingtaines within the Parish of St Helier and a total of twelve Roads Inspectors. Together with other elected officials they participate in the Visite du Branchage et des Chemins which takes place in September each year.
